The Piano Nobile is Palazzo Palloni's larger apartment — a grand frescoed space inside a 15th-century building in the centre of Sorano. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, 150 square metres, room for up to six.
The restoration recovered the original frescoes on the walls and ceilings. The living room is generous enough for a group to use properly, not squeeze into. The kitchen is fully equipped — hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher — far more than you'd expect from a standard week-long stay. The tuff-stone walls keep it cool through summer; there is no air conditioning and you will not miss it.
The reason guests return is the mix of generous space, the quality of the finishes, and the familial touch of owners who are discreetly but genuinely present.

Sorano itself is a village of 700 people. There is no traffic, no nightlife, no noise. The most stressful thing about staying here is deciding whether to visit Pitigliano or Saturnia first.

We had a fantastic stay at Mario's beautiful apartment. We traveled with two small kids and both Mario and his son Matteo went above and beyond to make our stay so comfortable in every possible way. Always quick and friendly communication if we had any questions. Sorano is a magical place and this apartment is the perfect home base while visiting. ☀️ Vi hade verkligen toppen vistelse i Palazzo Palloni Piano Nobile. Lägenheten var fin som på bilderna. Mycket ren (jag är krävande när det gäller den aspekten) och verkligen rymlig med två badrum och alla tänkbara bekvämligheter. Toppen med tvättmaskin och torktumlare. 3 dubbelsängar vackert bäddade med vitt, manglat sänglinne- mycket uppskattat. Lungt område med få turister vilken vi tyckte var toppen! Själva byn har ca 750 invånare. Det kändes som en dröm att vara där. Sorano otroligt vackert och vi längtar redan tillbaka. Det går inte att beskriva känslan att gå i de små, välskötta gränderna på kvällen. Det är som att vara i en annan tid och värld. Letar man efter ett lugnt och genuin plats så är det här man skall vara. Fritt från påträngande säljare och små kitchiga butiker som säljer skräp. De affärsinnehavare vi träffade var lugna, fina människor stolta över de butiker de ägde. Rekommenderar också grannbyn Pitigliano och Lake Bolsena (ta stranden i stan, det fläktar underbart där) Az apartman az óvárosban található, egy régesrégi ház első emeletén. Tökéletesen felszerelt, gyönyörűen berendezett, mintha egy lakberendezési újság fotózásához lenne előkészítve. Tágas, a hangulata egyedi. A többszázéves keveredik a modernnel. Minden nap jó volt hazaérkezni és rácsodálkozni a berendezés szépségeire.
Érkezésünkkor a szállásadónk az utcán várt bennünket, mosolyogva. Segített bevinni a bőröndjeinket a parkolótól.
Különösen tetszett, hogy úgy van berendezve az apartman, mintha élnének benne. Könyvek a polcokon, képek, díszek a falakon. Minden tetszett! Alloggio molto bello e confortevole, curato nei dettagli (per niente banali), con tutti i servizi necessari nuovi e di qualità.
Mario è un ottimo host, accogliente e disponibile ma estremamente discreto.
